Whats your dream?

As artists we are all big dreamers. Today I wanted to take a quick break from the normal tutorial type articles and how to’s and get to know everyone and what your dreams are for your photography. For me my photography dreams continue to evolve over the years. When I was in college I dreamed about working for national geographic or another big magazine and traveling the world telling stories. Once I finished college and started shooting weddings that changed a little. I still wanted to travel the world but wanted to focus specifically on weddings since they were such a joy for me to capture. I was able to travel the world for 12 years photographing weddings all over California and in some cool locations like Hawaii. Once I had kids my dreams changed again. The desire to be on planes traveling to exotic locations faded away as I wanted to spend as much time with my kids as possible. Work/life balance became much more important and my photography dreams became much more about documenting the lives of my kids as much as possible. For the rest of my life these dreams will continue to evolve and I try to spend time with my family and friends discussing these dreams. I’ve always found when you talk about something you are dreaming about it helps it to come to fruition!

I am sure many of you out there have awesome huge dreams for your photography. Share a few quick lines in the comments so we can all get to know each other and encourage each other.
