Taking better portraits iPad app

Most of you that have met me in person or have followed this site for awhile know that I am a techie as much as I am an artist. I love the artistic side of photography but have also always loved technology. Although I started photography way before digital and learned printing in the darkroom I was excited when my studio made the full switch over to digital about 6 years ago. I do shoot some film still but that’s a totally different post.

As I eluded to the other day (Opening yourself up to new things) I have been very passionate the last few years about stepping out of my box and working to create new products not only for my studio but that can also help photographers. Being in the wedding photography business for over 11 years now (and the art side of things for years before), I have learned a lot over the years. Before starting my business I had no idea what a wedding photographer was just a passion for the art of photography. Since I just jumped in with no business or wedding experience a learned a lot of things the slow and hard way but it has been an incredible journey. I had a lot of really amazing learning tools planned for the future and can’t wait to share them all with you over the next year.

Today I am very excited to announce the release of a iPad app that I have been working on with AppEzzy called Portrait Photography 101: A Guide to Taking Better Portraits. This guide covers some key lessons to create better portraits, giving you examples and real world descriptions. If you are like me and you enjoy the artistic side of things but you also enjoy looking at things like o2 iphone 4 deals online, then this is probably something that will appeal to you. I hope you like it and it is something you can use.
