Saving time processing photos in Lightroom

As I have said many times saving a few seconds here and there when doing your post production work can make a huge difference at the end of the year. I did an informal little poll on Twitter and Facebook awhile back on how many images the average wedding photographer shoots. The average was around 1200 images and if you times that by 30 weddings thats about 36,000 images. You will spend lots of time going through 36,000 images and cutting those down to your favorites and then color correcting and doing any artistic edits. I am a huge fan of shortcuts and any other ways to save a little bit of time, but one of the hard things with programs like Lightroom or Photoshop is they are such robust tools and have options that most people don’t know about. There are hidden menus and shortcuts all over the place with Lightroom and one of the best Lightroom experts out there is Julieanne Kost. Check out this quick video from her with some time savings features in Lightroom.
