Hack the Lightroom 5 splash screen
As with many desktop applications it’s easy to change some of the default image on the app and this isn’t any different for Adobe Lightroom. We are all very familiar with the Lightroom splash screen that shows up every time you launch the app. Here is a reminder of that welcome screen:
All you have to do to edit this image is first size your image to be 900×600. It can really be any size as long as it fits within 900×600, I created a test that was 900×400 and it worked just fine. Then you just need to do is save this image into the right folder. To find this folder follow these few steps:
You might already have a folder inside here called Splash Screen, if so save your image into this folder. If you don’t have that folder go ahead and create it and then add your photo.
That’s it! Now open up Lightroom 5 and your new custom splash screen will greet you. Make it a fun photo so every time you open up Lightroom you can get a smile 🙂

Also I would love to see what you all set your splash screen to. Right now I am dreaming of a trip to Yosemite and being an Apple fan as well thought the Apple Yosemite wallpaper was fitting to see every day 🙂
