Adobe Photoshop Touch for iPad Coming Monday
Adobe announced awhile back they would be releasing a app for the iPad (and Andriod) called Photoshop Touch. We had a few videos of this back then here: Videos of Adobe Photoshop Touch for iPad and have been eagerly awaiting the app release to see what it can do. They announced this all the way back in October of last year and finally are about to release this in iTunes coming Monday. It was accidentally leaked today in a few stores and then quickly pulled by Adobe. Adobe has claimed that this app will be a way to get some of the core editing that we do from Photoshop done on a tablet. It will have full layer support, selection tools, adjustments and filters to edit our images. Adobe has the technology that nobody else has, so for example using their selection technology like refine edge they should be able to make a very powerful tablet app that can make refined selections with a finger. We can edit in Photoshop Touch and then take the image to our main computer to finish it off or for more advanced editing. There also is sharing built into the app so you can pull images from various sources and then save images out to different sources like Facebook.
Expect a full review when this is released. If you don’t subscribe to our email updates just enter your email on the top right side of the site to subscribe.
This is expected to launch on Monday for $9.99 in the US iTunes store and a full set of screenshots are shown below:
